Tsingshan Mineral is a subsidiary company of Tsingshan Holding Group, specialized in various resource businesses, the main scope of Tsingshan Mineral covers a large scale of industrial resources, such as mineral products, steel products, nonferrous metal, mechanical equipment and electromechanical products. Recently, Tsingshan Mineral is mainly engaged in the development, procurement, distribution and service of stainless steel raw materials and mineral products, and has established a stable partnership with many world famous producers in Europe, U.S. , Russia , India , and South Africa .

Scope of Business:
Shanghai Tsingshan Mineral Co., Ltd is operating mainly in the line of the stainless steel raw materials such as:
- Nickel ore: By signing long-term contract with credible suppliers in Indonesia and Philippine, Tsingshan Mineral has developed a stable and close partnership with these companies. In 2007, the total importation of nickel ore reached 800,000 tons, and in 2008, the total importation is estimated to be over 1,000,000 tons. For the purpose of meeting with the nickel ore requirements from Tsingshan Holding Group and other ferronickel producers, Tsingshan Mineral is now undergoing a series of negotiations with oversea mineral producers regarding the nickel ore investment, exploitation and logistics.
- Nickel/Ferro-nickel: In order to meet with the pure nickel requirements of Tsingshan Holding Group, as well as requirements from other casting and special steel manufactories, Tsingshan Mineral works actively in the importation and distribution of pure nickel and ferro-nickel. The average importation of pure nickel is around 800 ton.
- Chrome ore/ Ferro-chrome: Along with the increasing of Chinese stainless steel production capacity, and the soaring price of international ferro-chrome, the market demand for chrome ore and ferro chrome in China will continuously grow. Therefore, Tsingshan Mineral has been importing the chrome ore and ferro-chrome from India, Turkey, Philippine and South Africa since 2007. The importation of ferro-chrome of 2007 reached 30,000 tons.
- Stainless Steel Scrap: With all qualifications and licenses of scrap importation, Tsingshan Mineral is able to import the scrap independently, to fulfill the scrap demand both within the group and other stainless steel companies.
- Other stainless steel raw materials: Tsingshan Mineral is also developing other importing business such as iron ore, coal, and other ferroalloys.
